Over the past 50 years... Some of what I have been up to...
Taught elementary school, worked in an orphanage in Voss, Norway for a year, camped through Europe for three months, founding member of the Whidbey Institute (chinook Learning Center), started and taught in a preschool that still exists, coordinated a program for handicapped elderly, taught Yoga at the community college and other locations, taught other classes at the college, Executive Director of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Thurston County, went back to grad school for a masters in psychology counseling, private counseling practice for over 14 years.

I have three children a daughter who is a trauma nurse at Harborview Hospital, another daughter who is a teacher and a son who is an emergency room doctor.
Currently, I travel, paint, ski, boat, take care of grandchildren and am on the board of the Mason/Thurston County Crisis Clinic....among other fun things....

Yes my hair is still too curly! I thank you all for being in my life to various degrees and wish you well.

A couple of funny memories...
I had a slumber party and we decided to sleep on the lawn by the lake. It poured down rain in the middle of the night and we all got drenched with marshmallows floating on the lawn. We dragged our wet sleeping bags up to the house and my Dad made Swedish pancakes for us. Another time there was a slumber party on Cathy Close's dock. We all decided to go skinny dipping when the Coast Guard Boat came speeding up in the dark and shined their search light on us and we quickly jumped into the lake!

I also remember landing at the dock on Blake Island, the thrill of the drums, greeted by the Indians, our painted faces, and dancing the night away after graduation! ...And of course having enough energy to go to the World's Fair all day the next day!
